Kauri started with a simple belief that making something well takes time, attention and care. We work at a steady pace, letting each piece develop through the material itself and the process it goes through. Wood plays a big role in how our work takes shape and we try to stay honest to its character rather than forcing it into something it isn’t.
We don’t design with trends in mind. Instead, we focus on pieces that feel relevant over time. Furniture that settles into a space quietly, holds its presence and continues to feel right as the space around it changes. Much of what we do is guided by natural and repurposed wood and we treat these materials carefully because they influence how every piece looks, feels and lasts.
For us, sustainability begins with longevity. When furniture is made well and built to last, it naturally reduces waste and unnecessary replacement. Wherever possible, we work with repurposed wood and choose natural materials that age gracefully. This approach allows us to create pieces that feel responsible without being overstated.
Our way of working is shaped by intention. Each piece is refined gradually, through small decisions and adjustments, until it feels right. There’s no rush to finish, only a focus on getting it right.

We have made a remarkable achievement through our partnership with a school in Rajasthan. Through their invaluable support, we have successfully planted around 8,000 trees, significantly improving the region's green cover. This initiative promotes sustainability and cultivates a profound value for nature among our youth. By investing in our planet's future through this plantation drive, we are ensuring a healthier and more breathable environment for generations to come. This drive is an example of our commitment to environmental awareness and our aspiration to leave a positive impact. We aim to expand our efforts in the coming years by planting more trees annually to further enhance the ecological vitality of the region.
